Truly a diamond of a restaurant. The salad bar was included in the dinner.Two varieties of lettuce to start with around twenty toppings. You could also have crab salad, potato salad, pasta salad, and fruit. Also included were two soups. I had the pinto beans soup.The catfish was some of the best I ever had. My wife had the chopped steak. I also had some delicious grilled squash. The service was great and you could see they enjoyed their positions They made you feel at home. Our table was on a wooden platform with white rope lights above. If you are passing through Artisia, New Mexico, make sure stop and enjoy a wonderful meal and experience. We met some people for lunch here last Monday. I had the chicken fried steak, which was good. One of the guys got the blackened catfish and he said it was very good. They have a nice salad bar and the service was very good. Give it a try next time you're in Artesia!
I was in Artesia over Easter and looking for a place for lunch. Pecos Diamond Steakhouse was open and very busy. The salad bar was great with a variety of toppings, dressings, soup, and sides. I had the NY strip steak which was perfectly cooked but could have been seasoned a bit more for my taste. The grill gave a nice flavor to a really good cut of meat (hand cut on premises). The service was really friendly and accommodating. Even though it was a holiday, everyone seemed happy to serve their guests. There are limited food options in this small New Mexico town but Pecos is a great option.
